Well, it has been quite the dry spell. Two months of no eye candy. I promise, it will never happen again. Channeling a little Michael Buble, “It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day…and I’m feeeeeelin’ goooooood” because Wet Panty Society is back. And who better to fling your panties off for than the latest inductee…MATT BOMER
You’re welcome, Rhonda. 🙂
Birth Name: Matthew Staton Bomer
Birthdate: 11 October 1977, Webster Groves, Missouri
Height: 5’11 1/2
Where You Might’ve Seen Him: A couple of soap operas (GUIDING LIGHT: 2002-2003 and ALL MY CHILDREN: 2000); Eliza Dushku’s love interest in TRU CALLING (2003-2004) I used to watch this show and actually remember him; a thorn in the side of Zachary Levi’s character on CHUCK (2007-2009). Loved, loved, loved that show; singing some old school Duran Duran as Blaine’s older brother on GLEE (2012); as stripper Ken in MAGIC MIKE (2012) and MAGIC MIKE XXL (2015); and playing a very edgy character on AMERICAN HORROR STORY (2014-2016). But he’s most known for his role as art thief Neal Caffrey on USA’s WHITE COLLAR (2009-2014).
Where You Can Currently See Him: Playing a killer alongside Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe in the movie THE NICE GUYS (2016). My husband and I saw this movie and parts of it were utterly hilare.
Where You Can See Him In The Near Future: 1930’s Amazon TV show THE LAST TYCOON (2016), the costumes look fabbity-fab; portraying Montgomery Clift in the movie MONTY CLIFT (pre-prod 2016), because we know he can rock that debonair shit; and alongside big names like Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt in THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN (2016), I’m looking forward to seeing this one.
Matt was a blip on my radar during his TRU CALLING days. I remember him and his character and thinking “Who is THIS hottie?” And then they killed him off and shortly thereafter that show was cancelled. He became more of a fixture when he was on CHUCK. That was one of my favorite shows and I liked the spy character he played. I was a big fan of WHITE COLLAR, too. Because Holy Armani, Batman, he can wear The. Shit. out of suits. Other than seeing him running around shirtless, my second favorite scenes were when he wore the suits. He was the epitome of that quote “Clothes make the man.” Because, day-um. I tried keeping up with that show, but all my other shows got in the way and I would end up catching random eppies here and there when other stuff wasn’t on. I stopped watching long before it was cancelled and I wish USA would be so kind as to do White Collar marathons on the weekends the same way that other station runs all those fucking LAW & ORDER shows. Or ION Television runs LEVERAGE. Loved that show, too, and I love the fact that I can still eyeball hottie Christian Kane and his long hair on the weekends. Love ya, Chris. Muah!
But I digress.
He totally blew me away when he appeared on GLEE and sang with Darren Criss. The day after that eppie, I downloaded the songs. So cool and such a surprise. Even though I no longer have Glee songs on my iPod (it was time for a little spring cleaning, people), I was hoping I’d get to hear him showcase his pipes again. Bless you, Channing Tatum. Stripper Convention Scene. MAGIC MIKE XXL. If you’ve seen it, then you know what I’m talking about. If not, watch the fucking movie! You can damn well bet the song he sang for his act ended up on my iPod. Sho ’nuff. You’ll also be happy to know that he’s the inspiration for one my Nemesis Guys and will be getting his own story arc.
This month is all about Mr. Blue Eyes. Welcome to the Society, Matt.
Peace, lurve, and wet panties,
Evolet
